As is so often the case I find myself agreeing wholeheartedly with Daisy’s views. I find it very frustrating listening to the constant claims of “it’ll only get better/worse from here” or “this is only going one way” when, as Daisy suggests, this is faith based. People seem to parrot this partially out a desire to be an ‘early adopter’ but also out of a fear to not be branded a ‘luddite’. It also massively reduces the agency of us as people - I wish we would ask ourselves “is this what we want?” and “is this for the better?”
I have to say I approach Daisy’s ideas with agnostic excitement. This one has made me rethink ChatGPT. I hope she is wrong about it’s future ability to mark and hope she is right about it’s ability to write!
